THE BONAIRE PJ4E SIX METER DX-PEDITION

BY W0SD, W0OE AND PJ4NX

JUNE 4 ENDING JUNE 19TH 2011 GMT

I want to thank Peter PJ4NX for all his help and hospitality. It was extremely valuable, Thanks Peter! I know a lot of you put in a lot of time listening and some of you never did hear us. For EU not only did you have to listen a lot to hear us but you had to make it through the huge EU pileup which of course some of you did not. The good news is that Peter PJ4NX operates six from here. Thanks for all your efforts to work us on Bonaire as a brand new DXCC country on six meters!!! Here are the final results for our 17 day six meters operation. We operated 15 days. We operated calling CQ in beacon mode or working stations for over 180 hours during this time. 1201 stations were worked after the dupes are taken out. We worked 999 unique stations on six meters and 56 DXCC countries, The continet break down was NA 974, EU 212, SA 10, AF 4 Asia 0. We had 3 days where we only worked one station. Our daily average worked was 80 stations. Our best day was June 10 with 232 and June 16 with 224. That averages out to about 6.66\ contacts per hour so it takes a lot of determination to hang in there just as it takes a lot of determination on your end. On HF RTTY we worked 1312 contacts after the dupes were taken out. We did not operate any HF CW or Phone leaving that for the locals here on Bonaire and other people who come here.
